Kimono silk is wonderfully breathable and natural feeling, making Kyoko Kimono products cool in the summer yet also warm in the winter.
Silk Care
Many Kyoko Kimono products are made from delicate classic kimonos. Kimono silk can shrink or fade when treated incorrectly. In order to keep the original soft texture and color it is recommended not to wash either by machine or by hand. Dry cleaning is recommended when necessary.
When your silk product gets wrinkles, you can iron it. Set your iron the silk/low setting. Iron it from the back side if possible. Place a handkerchief or thin piece of cotton cloth between the iron and the silk. Do not iron silk too hot. Always remember that silk is a protein structure much like human hair. Heat will damage it.
PLease do not bleach and do not use the drying machine.
